The $averPak InsectGuard Permethrin Sprays are a ready-mix liquid for protection from disease-spreading ticks (Lyme disease) and mosquitoes (West Nile and Zika viruses). They provide protection against mosquitoes, ticks, and chiggers, and are as effective as 100% DEET. The sprays not only repel insects but also kill mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, mites, and more upon contact.

Each 1-quart (32-ounce) bottle can treat up to 10 complete outfits and will not stain or damage clothing, fabrics, plastics, finished surfaces, or outdoor gear. The product is registered for the treatment of clothing, camping equipment, mosquito netting, nets, tents, the outsides of sleeping bags, backpacks, and ground cloths, among other items.

The ready-to-use, water-based 0.50% permethrin spray requires no mixing or further dilution before use. Permethrin is odorless when dry and is as effective as 100% DEET, with one treatment lasting 6 weeks or 6 launderings. The drying time after treatment is approximately 2 hours.
